Ingredients

  • 35 oz. potatoes
  • 7 oz. smoked bacon
  • 7 oz. mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cups Bechamel sauce
  • 3 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2-3 tbsp. breadcrumbs
  • a pinch of salt and pepper

Method

  1. Peel the raw potatoes and then slice them thin.
  2. In a heat resistant tray, add first one thin layer of Bechamel sauce.
  3. Add next a layer of thin sliced potatoes, then sliced mozzarella cheese, and then the sliced smoked bacon.
  4. Sprinkle some grated Parmesan cheese on top.
  5. Continue adding the layers in the same manner: Bechamel sauce, potatoes, mozzarella cheese, bacon, grated Parmesan.
  6. Over the last layer, of Parmesan cheese, pour the remaining Bechamel sauce.
  7. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs on top and bake at 400F for about 40 - 45 minutes.
