Ingredients
- Turkey breasts (1 lb., cubed)
- Oil (1 tbsp.)
- Garlic (2 cloves, minced)
- Sesame seeds (toasted)
- Taco Shells (6, warmed)
- Green Onion (1/4 cup, chopped)
- Bell Peppers (1/4 cup, sliced)
- Batter (for frying)
- Egg white (1)
- Flour (1/2 cup, sifted)
- Cornstarch (1/4 cup)
- Baking Powder (1/2 teaspoon)
- Water (1/2 cup, cold)
- Oil (1 tablespoon)
- Salt (pinch)
- Maple Sesame Sauce
- Maple Syrup (1/3 cup)
- Apple Cider Vinegar (1 teaspoon)
- Ketchup (1/2 tablespoon)
- Sesame Oil (1 teaspoon)
- Cornstarch (2 teaspoons)
- Water (1/2 cup)
- Salt (1 teaspoon)
Method
- Place Ingredients for batter into a bowl and whip until batter is silky.
- Plunge turkey in and set aside.
- Mix Ingredients for sauce in a separate container and put aside till needed.
- Heat a pan and add oil, then drop the turkey in batter one piece at a time and fry till golden. Remove from pan with a slotted spoon and rest on a hand towel.
- Put 2 tablespoons oil in a skillet and stir-fry garlic till fragrant then add maple syrup sauce and boil till it gets thick.
- Put in turkey and stir then add sesame seeds.
- Spoon Evenly in taco shells.
- Top with green onion and bell peppers. Serve hot.
